Summer Reading Challenges 2025

Color Our World Summer Reading 2025

Summer Reading is for Everyone!

We invite you to embark on a journey of art and creativity, celebrating the myriad ways in which art enriches our lives. This year's summer reading program is designed to inspire and engage readers of all ages through a diverse array of artistic expressions. Art has the power to transform, uplift, and connect us. It allows us to see the world through different lenses, fostering empathy and understanding. The 2025 summer reading theme, “Color Our World,” encourages everyone to embrace the beauty of art in all its forms, creating a colorful tapestry of experiences for everyone

Readers from age 0-3 and grades PreK-8 can register for summer reading in the Marabella Kidspace. Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers aged 0-3 can register for summer reading and pick up an early literacy activity packet. No raffle tickets for this age group, but stickers and an age-appropriate “goody bag” are take-home treats. Readers in grades PreK-8 can earn a raffle ticket for prizes by reading for 20 minutes. Each raffle ticket can be entered in one of our eight prize buckets on display in the Kidspace for a chance to win that prize, or if you don’t feel like waiting—choose a prize from the treasure chest with one raffle ticket!  Raffle prize winners will be drawn on four Fridays during the summer: June 27, July 11, July 25 and August 8. Participants can enter as many raffles as they choose, and tickets must be in by library closing time on the Friday of each raffle draw.

Teens and adults participate in summer reading on the second floor. Earn raffle tickets by signing up, playing our summer reading BINGO challenges, and participating in library activities. Visit us at the upstairs desk to sign up, pick up an adorable summer reading tote, and choose one free book of your very own while supplies last.

Prizes for all ages are generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library. The SB Library Foundation generously sponsored our summer reading bags. Keep an eye on our website and social media pages for more information about summer reading, summer programs, and pop-up events in August. Join us for an adventure-filled summer!
