The Wiggle Room, generously supported by Northfield Savings Bank

Welcome to the Wiggle Room! Our sunny early learning space features gross-motor toys, fine-motor manipulatives, and a climber just for infants and toddlers. The Wiggle Room is open during all library hours, and houses our board book, Babybug, and Hello Baby! magazine collection.

The Activity Room, generously supported by Katie O’Brien and Tim Barritt

The Activity Room is an easily accessible space with a sink, counter-top oven, smart screen, and ample storage. Chairs and tables can be configured in different ways to accommodate different programs and age groups including our “Craftytown” elementary arts and crafts program, Middle School Makers program, Kids with Parents’ K-2 Book Group, Drop-in Nintendo Switch Gaming, LEGO Builders and much more. Puzzles, manipulatives, simple coloring pages and sensory tables provide preschoolers lots of learning opportunities during the library’s open hours.

The Hangout

Students in grades five through eight can use the comfy chairs, computers and generous workspaces to study, chat or just hangout! Hidden away in the far corner of the Marabella KidSpace, the Hangout is a dedicated “Middle School” space, with a balance of privacy and access.

The Studio

The South Burlington Library also offers free use of the fully equipped recording studio to all patrons aged 9 and above. Make your own tracks, green screen videos, podcasts or audiobook recordings! The Studio includes audio and visual editing software, microphones, midi keyboard, camcorder, green screen and studio lights.
