Summer Reading Challenges 2024

Summer Reading is for Everyone!

Readers of all ages can join us for reading challenges, in-house programs, and speakers who celebrate all the beauty and adventures that Vermont has to offer in the summer months.

Readers from age 0-4 and grades K-8 can register for summer reading in the Marabella Kidspace. Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers aged 0-4 can register for summer reading and pick up an early literacy activity packet. No raffle tickets for this age group, but stickers and an age-appropriate “goody bag” are take-home treats. Readers in grades K-8 can earn a raffle ticket for prizes by reading for 20 minutes. Each raffle ticket can be entered in one of our eight prize buckets on display in the Kidspace for a chance to win that prize, or if you don’t feel like waiting—choose a prize from the treasure chest with one raffle ticket!  All prize winners will be drawn by August 12th.

Teens and adults can participate in summer reading by earning raffle tickets for signing up, playing our summer reading BINGO challenges, and more! Stop at the desk on the second floor for more information about teen and adult summer reading.

Prizes for all ages are generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library. The SB Library Foundation generously sponsored our summer reading bags. Keep an eye on our website and social media pages for more information about summer reading, summer programs, and pop-up events in August. Join us for an adventure-filled summer!
