Solar System and Space Resources

sun and nine planets in the solar system

Our eyes are on the skies

Did you know that there is a partial solar eclipse in October 2023? And a total solar eclipse in April 2024?

Burlington and the surrounding area will be in the “path of totality” for the April eclipse. We are delighted to offer Space science programs in partnership with South Burlington resident, Bridget Kimsey, who is a NASA Solar System Ambassador. Check back often for information about library programs about space, our solar system and the eclipses.

Viewing the Eclipse

You should never look at the sun directly without equipment that's specifically designed for looking at the sun.
