DCF- The Dorothy Canfield Fisher Book Award was created to honor excellence in children's literature. Each year, Vermont students in grades four through eight have selected their favorite book from a list of 30 nominees.
Red Clover - The Red Clover Book Award is designed for children in kindergarten through fourth grade. Each year thousands of Vermont school children read the 10 nominated picture books and vote for their favorite. The award has been handed out annually since 1997.
Caldecott - The Caldecott Medal is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.
Newbery - The Newbery Medal is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.
