Food Preservation Workshop: Quick Pickles and More!

Information about the workshop on a background of jars of cucumber pickles

Food Preservation Workshop

Learn about a variety of different methods of preserving veggies from your garden, the farmer's market or even the grocery store. The experienced staff from Vermont Garden Network will be here to show and tell you how to dry, freeze, ferment, pickle and more.

Learn how to preserve food, bring new variety to your culinary palette, and access important nutrients even in the winter. Bring your questions too. During the workshop you will have a chance to make a jar of quick pickles (no canning needed) to take home, plus recipes and ideas to do more pickling and preserving at home.

This workshop is open to all adults, and our Seed Library members are especially encouraged to attend. Children ages 10 and up are welcome if accompanied by an adult.

This workshop will be held in the Library's Digital Lab on the second floor.

The Library is ADA accessible, patrons are asked to call (802) 846-4140 in advance if special services are required.

Masks may be worn in the library and at any library program.
