Ethan Tapper is a forester, author and naturalist based in Bolton, Vermont. His first book – How to Love a Forest: The Bittersweet Work of Tending a Changing World – was published in September 2024.

Spend a special hour with the author who will discuss his thought-provoking new book, which reexamines forest management and highlights the delicate balance between action and restraint in environmental stewardship. Through vivid storytelling and personal experiences, Tapper introduces readers to forest ecosystems and argues for a compassionate approach to conservation. Join us and learn how you can contribute to a sustainable future.

The Flying Pig Bookstore will provide books for sale at a special discounted event price, and Ethan will sign books after his talk.

Light refreshments will be served.

Co-sponsored by the Library and the South Burlington Natural Resources and Conservation Committee.
