April 2025 Friends of the Library Free Concert Series: Cold Creek Pickers
The Cold Creek Pickers is a local Country-Roots Folk band, playing a variety of Folk, Blues, Bluegrass and original songs. The band features a fun and entertaining performance with banjos, guitars, fiddles, autoharp, bass, mandolin, storytelling & more.
The four members of the band are:
Rik Palieri
Rik has performed at concert halls, schools and festivals in all 50 states. He has toured Alaska by float plane, rode camelback in Australia and sung on trains throughout Europe. He has performed in Canada, France, Spain, Germany Australia, Poland, Mexico, Israel, Turkey and Argentina. He has appeared at venues such as The Kennedy Center, The Country Music Hall of Fame, The Philadelphia Folk Festival, The Port Ferry Old Songs Folk Festival, The Hudson River Revival, The Vancouver festival, plus countless TV & radio program, and he produces his own TV and radio shows. He has a collection of his interviews at The American Folk Life Center at The Library of Congress and is a member of the Recording Academy. Rik has performed with some of the legends of American Folk Music such as: Pete Seeger, Tom Paxton, Jimmie Driftwood, Utah Phillips, Ramblin' Jack Elliott & many more. He has recorded 14 albums, has been an occasional writer for Sing Out! Banjo Newsletter and is the author of two books "The Road Is My Mistress, Tales of A Roustabout Songster" and Banjo Man Adventures of An American Folksinger. (Available through Inter-Library Loan!)
Brian Yarwood
Brian plays banjo, guitar, ukulele, kazoo, cajon, vocals, and the occasional rambling story. Brian has been playing with Rik on and off for the last 20 years.
David Goodrich
David has been playing primarily folk and bluegrass music for many years. His instruments of choice are guitar, mandolin and fiddle. He has avoided the bassoon. He occasionally writes songs and has recorded and produced an album of original music for children.
Dick Mosehauer
Dick played bluegrass music in Virginia for over twenty years. He moved to Vermont five years ago. He plays autoharp, fiddle, guitar, and bass. He has contributed to over a half dozen albums and has participated in the production of music albums for several bands and for the music department at George Mason University.

Doors open at 11:45 am.
No tickets or registration needed. This concert is free and open to all.
