Seed and Plant Swap
Come and exhange seeds and plant starts with your friends and neighbors!
For seeds, bring seeds saved from your garden, or leftover seed company packets to exchange with other gardeners. Please bring your own seeds in separate envelopes, jars or other containers, marked with the following information: plant name (chard), variety (Rainbow chard), year seed was grown, origin of seeds (seed company name), and whether or not the seed is Non-GMO, organically grown, hybrid or open pollinated. We will provide small envelopes and labels for taking home traded and gifted seeds.
For plant starts, please bring them in an appropriate vessel and be sure there is not a risk of dirt spilling on the ground.
At 12:00pm, the UVM Extension Master Gardners will present a workshop on determining seed viability. They will also be available to provide assistance to patrons looking for answers to their gardening questions. For more information about this program, please visit their webpage.
This event is part of our Seed Library! Please feel free to stop by, sign up, and take some seeds that will help you plant your 2026 garden.
