Artist Books by Séamas Cain.

There will be an exhibition of “ARTIST BOOKS by Séamas Cain” throughout the month of November in the glass-case on the Second Floor of the South Burlington Public Library.

An opening for the exhibit will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 10 November 2025, in the library's Community Room. Séamas Cain will provide commentary and descriptions for a number of the books on display. He will concentrate on two basic questions: What is an Artist book? What is not an Artist book?

Séamas Cain has created Artist books for archives and libraries in Australia, Belgium, Cornwall, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Thailand, The Netherlands, and Wales, as well as libraries and archives in a number of provinces or states of the United States and Canada.

The Library is ADA accessible, patrons are asked to call (802) 846-4140 in advance if special services are required.

Masks may be worn in the library and at any library program.
