Cookbook Club: Herbivoracious
Love to eat? Love to cook? Join us for a monthly cookbook feast! Each month, the group picks recipes from a single book. Each participant chooses a recipe from the book and prepares it for the group's meeting. At our meeting, we eat the dishes we've all prepared and talk about what inspired us to make them.
In December, we're cooking from Herbivoracious by Michael Natkin.
In Herbivoracious, Michael Natkin offers up 150 exciting recipes, some of which originated on his blog of the same name. These dishes aim to provide delicious, meatless meals that are full of bold and bright flavor, inspired from all sorts of different cusines around the world. Vegan and gluten-free recipes are noted, and most others have easy substitutions to fit any dietary need. Check out all of the soups, salads, entrees, desserts, and more! Add more vegetarian cooking to your diet with recipes made easy.
The Cookbook Club meets in the Community Room at the South Burlington Public Library on the first Tuesday of the month. Copies of the book will be available for browsing recipes at South Burlington Public Library for a month leading up to the meeting. To attend, let us know what you plan to cook by signing up at the Circulation Desk or by emailing sbplprograms@SouthBurlingtonVT.gov.
Limited dishware will be available. Please attempt to bring your own plates, silverware, and serving utensils. A space to wash them will be provided.
