Block and Bird with the Vermont Bird Museum

Bird drawing

Block and Bird Drawing program for kids

You think you can't draw a bird? We bet you can!

From simple shapes to loose sketches, we will look at the basic shapes of birds and practice drawing them, while learning a little bird biology at the same time.

No drawing experience required! This class will be fun for any level of sketcher or birder.

For ages 6 and up, all beginners welcome! Bring a friend!

All materials will be supplied. If you have a favorite sketching tool, feel free to bring it with you.

Be sure to check out the two displays about birds in the month of September! The Art Gallery upstairs presents "Birds in Art". The display case in the Children's area presents "Carving: Tools and Techniques." Both are on loan from the Birds of Vermont Museum.

Also at the Library -- a bird program for adults on Wednesday Sept 20, 6:00pm - 7:30pm.  See it Sketch it Bird it.
